MTTU Mission Statement

Our mission is to see the Church rise up and be the light that she was called to be. It is our contention that abortion exists in this country because we have failed to be that light. It is not the responsibility of the police, judges, nor politicians to be the light. That is our God-given responsibility. We believe that we, the Church, need to repent and put feet to our belief that abortion is murder. Anything less, makes us hypocrites. We have failed to love our "unborn" neighbors as ourselves. It is personally my conviction, that because of our refusal to protect unborn children, while saying it is murder, that the world mocks us - the hypocrisy being evident to those who do not know Christ. Hence, our effectiveness in preaching the Gospel has been greatly diminished, because our actions do not match what we say we believe.

It is our belief that seeing and knowing our unborn neighbor is in need, makes us responsible to protect and defend him cp. Lev. 20:1-5.

It is our belief that if the Church in America does not rise up, that God's judgment must fall upon this nation cp. 2 Kings 24:1-4. It is our belief that the existence of America is not crucial to any known eschatological dogma. In fact, the belief that God 'just can't do without America', may be one of the reasons the Church has been lulled into a false sense of security, and does not see the same sense of urgency. I believe that God does not need America, and it's destruction may very well be a testimony to the world that the Lord God will not be mocked - much as the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem was in it's day. Remember, the righteous were spared, but they still went in to bondage (e.g. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego).

Our prayer and vision is not that God would spare this nation, but that God would call out a people for His great name. A people that love Him with their whole hearts, their very being - not loving their lives even to death. To truly show that greater love of which John spoke, "Greater love has no man then this, then to lay his life down for a friend". It is that kind of love that will turn a nation around. It is that kind of love that will cause sinners to repent, and see that Christianity is more then a social gathering on Sundays. Rather, our faith is something worth living for and dying for. It has substance. It has teeth.

Our prayer is to see the local churches rise up and put an end to this abortion holocaust. To go out to the place where the children are dying and intercede for them. That is our purpose. That is our calling. If we, who are called to live sacrificial lives, don't do it, then who will?
